Volunteering and Passions
Stanford University
Since Stanford launched its OVAL program, I have interviewed numerous applicants each year, conducting casual and thoughtful conversations while sharing my own Stanford experiences and passion for the university with prospective students. I then convey my impressions of candidates to the admissions committee through written reports, providing insights about each student that become part of their admissions file.
The Hotchkiss School
As a 30+ year reunion volunteer for The Hotchkiss School, I have consistently worked to strengthen alumni connections and foster community engagement across multiple reunion cycles. Serving alongside 12+ classmates on reunion committees, I chaired my 25th reunion fundraising efforts and exceeded the class goal by $90,000 through strategic volunteer recruitment, breaking the giving record for 25th reunions. I also coordinated class-specific events attracting 100+ attendees and achieving record participation while successfully re-engaging previously disconnected classmates. This long-term volunteer commitment reflects my dedication to maintaining meaningful relationships with the Hotchkiss community and creating opportunities for alumni to reconnect and support their school.
